Duplex Needle Valves consist of a blend of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels, with a major content of chromium (22-25%), nickel (4.5-6.5%), molybdenum (2-3%), and iron (balance), along with traces of nitrogen and carbon. The composition offers remarkable strength, corrosion resistance, and pitting and stress corrosion cracking resistance. The mechanical characteristics are tensile strength of about 85,000 psi and high yield strength. Physically, Duplex Needle Valves have very good fatigue strength, high oxidation resistance, and thermal stability up to 300°C, and hence are well suited for extreme environments.
