Duplex Steel Threaded Rod consists of about 22% of chromium, 5-6% nickel, 3% molybdenum, and traces of nitrogen, manganese, and silicon, which possess very good corrosion resistance. It possesses high mechanical strength with tensile strength of about 620-880 MPa and yield strength of 450 MPa. Its elongation is between 25-30%. The material possesses superior hardness and toughness. Physically, it is of approximately 7.8 g/cm³ density, melting point at 1350°C, and good thermal conductivity. Duplex steel finds the most suitable use in aggressive environments owing to its microstructural balance of ferritic-austenitic.
