Monel Pipe consists mainly of nickel (63-70%) and copper (28-34%), and minor amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. This allows it to have outstanding resistance to corrosion in seawater and acid conditions. Monel Pipe has mechanical properties such as tensile strength of approximately 70,000 psi and satisfactory elongation (30%). It has strength and stability up to 1020°F (550°C). Monel Pipe enjoys good resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and oxidation, thus is suited for chemical processing, high-pressure, and marine processes.
