Duplex Steel Washers are produced from a combination of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, usually having 22-25% chromium, 4-6% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum and trace amounts of other elements such as manganese and nitrogen. The composition offers superior corrosion resistance, particularly in severe environments such as seawater and chemicals. Mechanical properties are high tensile strength (usually 600-800 MPa) and yield strength (450-600 MPa). Physical characteristics consist of excellent ductility, toughness and exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Duplex Steel Washers provide better fatigue resistance and longer life in aggressive applications.
