AWS Class ENiCu-7 Coated Electrodes are made mostly of nickel (about 70%) and copper (about 30%), providing great corrosion resistance, particularly in sea water and marine atmospheres. The mechanical characteristics are a tensile strength of 65-75 ksi, yield strength of 40 ksi, and elongation of 30%. The electrodes exhibit good weldability, allowing for strong and dependable welds under adverse conditions. Physically, they possess a high melting point, good thermal conductivity, and superior galvanic corrosion resistance, which makes them suitable for marine and industrial uses.
