AWS class ENi-CL coated electrodes consist of nickel as their main component with other elements of chromium and molybdenum incorporated into them to enhance performance. AWS class ENi-CL coated electrodes are distinguished by their strong corrosion resistance as well as toughness, which recommends them for use in welding distorted metals and refurbishing broken pieces They offer great mechanical properties with outstanding strength as it provides traction and ductility, which results in durability. Their strengths are incredible resistance to oxidation and high heat, and how well they weld in a host of alloys so that they find use in industrial applications galore.

AWS class ENi-CL coated electrodes find application in a wide range of applications calling for strong and reliable welds. They find most use for welding high-strength, corrosion-resistant materials like nickel and nickel-based alloys. These electrodes are best suited for surface deposition and cleaning of materials used in harsh environments, i.e., petrochemical and chemical plants. They are also employed for asymmetrical welding of metals, produce strong joints and withstand high temperature and oxidation satisfactorily. Their applicability makes them apt for industrial repair and maintenance works.
