AWS Class ENiCrMo-13 Coated Electrodes consist mostly of nickel (about 55%), chromium (about 20%), molybdenum (about 3%) and iron. They have good high-temperature oxidation, corrosion and stress resistance in hostile environments. Their mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 90-110 ksi, yield strength of 60 ksi and elongation of 30%. The electrodes provide excellent creep and thermal fatigue resistance. Physically, they possess a high melting point, which makes for strong and durable welds as well as excellent weldability and so are suitable for aerospace and petrochemical industries.
