AWS Class ENiCrFe-3 Coated Electrodes consist of a nickel base alloy containing about 55% nickel, 20% chromium, and 15% iron. They have very good resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and elevated temperature conditions. The mechanical characteristics are tensile strength of 85-100 ksi, yield strength of 60 ksi, and elongation of 30%. They have high creep strength and good thermal fatigue resistance. As far as physical characteristics are concerned, the electrodes possess high melting point and excellent weldability, which makes them suitable for use in power generation, petrochemical, and aerospace industries.
