AWS Class ERNiCrCoMo-1 filler wire and rod are advanced nickel-based alloys for severe service applications. The alloy contains Nickel (Ni) as the base element, Chromium (Cr) for resistance to oxidation, Cobalt (Co) for elevated temperature strength, Molybdenum (Mo) for corrosion resistance, and Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), and Silicon (Si) in controlled proportions. The mechanical properties are high tensile strength (usually greater than 700 MPa), good elongation (approximately 30%), and impact toughness. Physically, it has good thermal conductivity, high melting range, and superior resistance to creep, oxidation, and thermal fatigue in harsh environments.
