Permalloy Sheets and Plates consist mainly of 78% nickel and 21% iron, with traces of copper and molybdenum. This makes them have excellent magnetic properties such as high permeability and low coercivity. Their mechanical properties are tensile strength of approximately 500-700 MPa and elongation of 25-30%. Permalloy has a hardness of 100-150 HB and has excellent soft magnetic properties. Physically, it is not magnetic in the absence of a magnetic field and offers superior shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMI), making it well suited for transformer cores and magnetic devices.
