Nitronic Plates and Sheets consist mainly of austenitic stainless steel, with high chromium content (approximately 20-25%) and nickel content (approximately 12-18%), and additional elements such as manganese, nitrogen, and molybdenum. These alloys provide superior corrosion resistance, particularly in the marine and elevated-temperature environments. They have the following mechanical properties: tensile strength of 750-1,200 MPa, yield strength of 500-900 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%. With 200-300 HB hardness range, they offer excellent wear resistance. Physically, Nitronic has high temperature strengths, good fatigue properties, and superior oxidation resistance.
