Aluminium Bronze plates and sheets consist mainly of copper (Cu) with 5-12% aluminium (Al) and traces of iron (Fe), nickel (Ni), and manganese (Mn) for increased strength and corrosion resistance. They possess good mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength (up to 850 MPa), good hardness, and excellent wear resistance. Their physical characteristics are a density of 7.7-8.3 g/cm³, melting point of 1030-1060°C, and excellent thermal and electrical conductance. Such characteristics make them suitable in marine, aerospace, and heavy industry applications where strength and corrosion resistivity are needed.
