Waspalloy Bars consist of a nickel-based superalloy, with the main content being nickel (around 50-70%), along with cobalt, chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten additions. The composition gives high strength, oxidation, and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 1,200 MPa and good creep resistance, making it suitable for applications in high-stress, high-temperature conditions. Waspalloy, which has a density of 8.9 g/cm³, is also extremely resistant to fatigue and wear. The bars are used extensively in aerospace, gas turbines, and high-performance engineering applications.
