Permalloy Round Bars consist mainly of 80% nickel and 20% iron, with traces of molybdenum and copper added to improve magnetic properties. This composition provides the material with outstanding magnetic permeability and low coercivity, suitable for electromagnetic uses. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of around 60-70 ksi (415-485 MPa) and yield strength of 35-45 ksi (240-310 MPa). The density is approximately 8.7 g/cm³, and the material melts at about 1,400°C (2,552°F). These bars offer superior performance in high-precision, magnetically sensitive applications.
