Monel 400 Tubing consists of mostly Nickel (63% min) and Copper (28-34%), together with trace levels of Iron (2.5% max), Manganese (2% max), Silicon (0.5% max), and Carbon (0.3% max). It has superior mechanical properties with a tensile strength of 550-700 MPa, yield strength of 195-345 MPa, elongation of 20-35% and Brinell hardness of 135-190 HB. Its physical properties are a density of 8.8 g/cm³, melting point of 1300-1350°C, thermal conductivity of 21.8 W/m·K, and electrical resistivity of 0.51 µΩ·m, which provide superior strength and corrosion resistance.
