Monel screws, which are essentially composed of Monel 400 (Ni 66-70%, Cu 28-34%, with Fe and Mn), possess superior corrosion resistance particularly in marine and chemical environments. They possess tensile strength of 517-620 MPa, yield strength of 172-345 MPa and elongation of 20-35%. Their hardness is between 65 to 85 HRB. Monel screws have high strength, ductilit, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, acids, and alkalis due to a density of 8.8 g/cm³, a melting point of 1300-1350°C, and thermal conductivity of 22 W/m·K.
