Incoloy pipes are constructed from nickel-iron-chromium alloys, usually supplemented with molybdenum, copper, and titanium for better corrosion resistance and strength. Characteristic composition involves Nickel (38-46%), Iron (balance), Chromium (19-23%), Molybdenum (2.5-3.5%), Copper (1.5-3%), and Titanium (0.6-1.2%). These pipes have very good mechanical properties with tensile strength of 585 MPa, yield strength of 220 MPa, and elongation of 30%. They are resistant to oxidation, stress corrosion cracking, and high-temperature degradation and are thus best suited for chemical processing, marine, and power industry applications demanding durability in hostile environments.
