Incoloy Coils are iron-nickel-chromium alloys with high strength at elevated temperatures and corrosion resistance. Composition depends on the grade but generally contains nickel (30-46%), chromium (13-23%), iron (remainder) and traces of molybdenum, copper and titanium. Mechanical properties consist of tensile strength 550-800 MPa, yield strength 240-450 MPa and elongation 30-45%. Physical characteristics include density of ~8 g/cm³, melting range of 1350-1400°C and thermal conductivity of ~11 W/m·K. Such coils possess excellent resistance to oxidation and are hence suitable for chemical processing, heat exchangers and marine environments.
