Copper Nickel 90/10 (CuNi 90/10) fittings are made of 90% copper and 10% nickel with some iron and manganese. This composition gives excellent corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and marine atmosphere. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 550 MPa, yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of 40%. Physically, it is 8.9 g/cm³ in density, has a melting point of around 1,200°C, and possesses good thermal and electrical conductivity. Its biofouling and stress corrosion cracking resistance makes it suitable for marine and industrial uses.
