Copper Nickel Wire is usually composed of 90% copper and 10% nickel (CuNi 90/10) or 70% copper and 30% nickel (CuNi 70/30) with minor amounts of iron and manganese to provide improved strength and corrosion protection. Copper Nickel Wire has great mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of 310-517 MPa, yield strength of 110-345 MPa and elongation of 30-40%. Its physical characteristics are a density of 8.9 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 29 W/m·K, and electrical resistivity of 0.05-0.1 µΩ·m. These characteristics make it suitable for marine, electrical and industrial uses.
