Monel K500 bars consist of around 63% nickel, 27-33% copper, and minor amounts of aluminum (2.3-3.15%), titanium (0.35-0.85%), iron (2% max) and manganese (1.5% max). They possess very good mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of 965 MPa, yield strength of 690 MPa, and elongation of 20%. The alloy possesses high corrosion resistance and strength, even at subzero temperatures. Monel K500 has 8.44 g/cm³ density, melting range of 1315-1350°C, and a thermal conductivity of 17 W/m·K, which recommends it for sea and chemical services.
