Inconel 718 Tubing consists chiefly of nickel (50-55%), chromium (17-21%), and iron (bal.), with additions of niobium, molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum. The alloy demonstrates superior oxidation, corrosion, and high-temperature resistance due to this composition. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of up to 180,000 psi, fatigue resistance, and high yield strength. Physically, Inconel 718 possesses a melting point close to 1,300°C and low thermal expansion and is perfectly suited for high-stress applications like gas turbines, jet engines, and aircraft components.
