Inconel 601 tubing consists of a nickel-chromium alloy containing approximately 58-63% nickel, 21-25% chromium and minimal quantities of iron, aluminum and other metal elements. The tubing provides fine oxidation and resistance to corrosion when used at high temperatures. On a mechanical note, it features tensile strength of about 550 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa and elongation of 30%. It has physical characteristics of a density of 8.11 g/cm³, a melting range of 1360-1411°C, and a thermal conductivity of 11.2 W/m·K. Inconel 601 finds extensive application in heat-treating equipment, aerospace and chemical processing industries.
