Inconel 617 tubing is a nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy with superior high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. Its composition consists of Ni (44.5% min) Cr (20-24%) Co (10-15%) Mo (8-10%) Al (0.8-1.5%) and Fe (3% max). It provides a tensile strength of 655 MPa yield strength of 275 MPa and elongation of 50%. The density of the alloy is 8.3 g/cm³, thermal conductivity of 11.2 W/m·K and melting range of 1332-1380°C and it is best suited in the application of heat exchangers, gas turbines and high-temperature use.
