Inconel 690 Bar is a nickel-chromium alloy containing about 58% Ni, 27-31% Cr, 7-11% Fe and traces of Mo, Cu and Si. It possesses good oxidation and corrosion resistance particularly in aqueous and high-temperature environments. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength of ~586 MPa, yield strength of ~274 MPa and elongation of ~30%. The density is 8.19 g/cm³ the melting point is ~1343°C and the thermal conductivity is 12.4 W/m·K, which makes it a prime choice for heat exchangers, nuclear reactors and chemical processing equipment.
