Copper Nickel 90/10 (CuNi 90/10) contains 90% copper and 10% nickel with traces of iron and manganese. It has a good composition for outstanding resistance to corrosion, especially in seawater. Its mechanical characteristics are good tensile strength (300 MPa), yield strength (220 MPa), and elongation (40%). It is highly thermally and electrically conductive with very good formability. Physically, it provides a density of 8.9 g/cm³, a melting point of 1,100°C and better resistance to biofouling, which makes it well-suited for use in marine as well as industrial applications.
