Titanium Grade 5 Tube Fittings are manufactured from a titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) with 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. The alloy offers high strength and good corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 900 MPa and elongation of 10-15%. The fittings weigh little, at 4.43 g/cm³, and are suited for applications where strength and light weight are needed. Physically, Titanium Grade 5 has excellent resistance against oxidation, harsh temperatures, and corrosive environments, thus being ideal for aerospace, marine, and chemical applications.
