Titanium Fasteners are mostly produced from titanium alloys like Ti-6Al-4V or commercially pure titanium (Grade 2). The make-up usually consists of 94-98% titanium, along with trace amounts of aluminum, vanadium, and other elements. The mechanical properties consist of a tensile strength of 550-1,200 MPa, yield strength of 480-1,100 MPa, and elongation of 15-20%. The physical properties consist of a density of 4.43-4.51 g/cm³ and a melting point of 1,660°C. Titanium fasteners provide superior resistance to corrosion in seawater, chemicals, and high-temperature conditions, for which they are best suited for aerospace and marine industries.
