Nimonic 80A Bar is a high-strength nickel-based superalloy with a major content of 80% nickel, major contents of chromium (18-21%), and minor contents of titanium (2.8-3.3%) and aluminum (1.0-1.5%). Its composition provides good strength and resistance against oxidation at elevated temperatures. Its mechanical properties are tensile strength of 1,000-1,300 MPa, yield strength of 750-950 MPa, and elongation of 20-30%. It possesses a hardness of 250-300 HB. Physically, it has excellent resistance to fatigue, high temperature stability, and is best suited for turbine blades, exhaust manifolds, and other highly stressed aerospace components.
