Invar 42 sheets and plates consist of Nickel (41-43%), Iron (balance), Carbon (≤0.05%), Manganese (≤0.8%), Silicon (≤0.3%), Phosphorus (≤0.025%) and Sulfur (≤0.025%), and have excellent thermal expansion control and dimensional stability. These plates and sheets have better mechanical properties, such as a tensile strength of 450 MPa (65 ksi), yield strength of 280 MPa (40 ksi), and elongation of 30%. With a density of 8.11 g/cm³ melting point of 1430-1450°C and low coefficient of thermal expansion, Invar 42 provides accurate performance in temperature-sensitive applications.
