Inconel 600 pipe consist of 72% Nickel, a small percentage of Chromium (14-17%), Iron (6-10%), and other trace materials like manganese, carbon, and silicon. The combination provides the pipe with excellent resistance to oxidation, corrosion, and heat. The mechanical properties of Inconel 600 include a tensile strength of 550 MPa (80,000 psi), yield strength of 240 MPa (35,000 psi), and elongation of 30%. It retains strength and hardness through extreme conditions, and it is thus well-suited for use in aerospace, chemical processing, and nuclear reactors. Its creep resistance is high, which makes it durable under severe conditions.
