Haynes 230 Bar is a nickel-chromium-tungsten-molybdenum alloy that possesses superior high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. It consists of Ni (balance) Cr (20-24%), W (13-15%), Mo (1.5-3%) and traces of C, Si, Mn, Fe, B and La. It possesses tensile strength of ~760 MPa, yield strength of ~310 MPa, and elongation of ~47%. With a thermal conductivity of 9.7 W/m·K, melting range of 1260-1355°C, and a density of 8.97 g/cm³, it surpasses in adverse conditions such as heat exchangers and gas turbines.
