Haynes 188 Bar is a cobalt alloy super alloy with the composition of: Cobalt (base) 22% Nickel, 22% Chromium 14% Tungsten 0.1% Carbon and trace elements. It provides mechanical properties such as tensile strength of ~965 MPa, yield strength of ~450 MPa and elongation of 45%. Its physical properties are a density of 9.14 g/cm³, a range of melting between 1330-1410°C and superior oxidation resistance up to 1095°C. This alloy is extensively used in gas turbines and aerospace because of its excellent high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance.
