Hastelloy washers contain primarily nickel (50.99%), high proportions of molybdenum (15-17%), chromium (14.50-16.50%) and small traces of iron, tungsten and cobalt. Hastelloy washers possess better mechanical properties like high tensile strength (55-85 ksi or 379-586 MPa), high yield strength and high fatigue resistance and creep resistance and are hence best suited for high-stress applications. Physically, Hastelloy washers are renowned for their superior corrosion resistance in aggressive environments and exhibit high-temperature stability to 1400°F (760°C). They have a density of approximately 8.89 g/cm³, with excellent thermal conductivity.
