Hastelloy screws are made of nickel-based alloys like Hastelloy C22 and C276, with high corrosion resistance in severe environments both oxidizing and reducing. Their chemical composition consists of very high levels of nickel (58-62%), molybdenum (16-17%) chromium (14-16%) and traces of iron, cobalt and tungsten. They have superior mechanical properties such as tensile strength of approximately 690 MPa and yield strength of 283 MPa. Their physical characteristics encompass a density of 8.69 g/cm³ and a melting point of about 1325°C and they are well suited for chemical, marine and high-temperature uses.
