Permalloy Foil consists mostly of Nickel (80%) and Iron (20%) and is rich in high magnetic permeability with low coercivity. It contains high mechanical strength with a tensile strength around 500 MPa and elongation 30-50% for ensuring firmness and toughness. The physical characteristics involve the density of 8.7 g/cm³, melting point of around 1450°C, and thermal conductivity of 21 W/m·K. Permalloy Foil is very resistant to magnetic saturation and eddy current loss, making it suitable for electromagnetic shielding and precision uses.
