A286 Foil consists of about 25% chromium, 15% nickel, with minor amounts of molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum, exhibiting high resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. The mechanical properties are tensile strength of 110-130 ksi, yield strength of 60-80 ksi, and elongation of 25%. The alloy has strength up to 1300°F (704°C). It has a density of 7.87 g/cm³, good formability, and a high resistance to creep, which makes it suitable for high-temperature industry applications like aerospace and chemical processing.
