Tantalum Shim consists mainly of pure tantalum (99.95%) with trace amounts of impurities, providing excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in extremely acidic conditions. Its mechanical properties are a high tensile strength (up to 300 MPa), high ductility, and high fatigue life. It is strong and stable even at high temperatures and stays intact under extreme conditions. Physically, tantalum has a density of 16.6 g/cm³ and a melting point of 3,017°C. Its excellent resistance to oxidation and high thermal conductivity make it suitable for use in extreme environments such as chemical processing and aerospace.
