Inconel 601 wire is a nickel-chromium alloy containing about 58-63% nickel 21-25% chromium, 1-1.7% aluminum and traces of iron manganese and carbon. It provides excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Its mechanical properties include tensile strength of about 650 MPa, yield strength of 310 MPa and elongation of 30%. Physically, it possesses a density of 8.11 g/cm³ a melting point of 1360-1411°C and thermal conductivity of 12.1 W/m·K. Its high strength and high-temperature oxidation resistance make it well suited for industrial heating and aerospace applications.
